Long-press shortcuts

Hold A, C, X, V, Z or Y to select all, copy, cut, paste, undo or redo.

How to use

  1. 1Open Settings › Typing and turn on Long-press shortcuts.
  2. 2Select some text and hold the letter X.
  3. 3Slide to the scissors icon.
  4. 4Let go: the text is cut.

What it does

Turns on the editing shortcuts on six letters' long press: A selects all, C copies, X cuts, V pastes, Z undoes and Y redoes. Hold the letter, the bubble opens with the action icon next to it, slide to it and let go.

Tapping the row's text opens the shortcuts page, where you can turn each one on or off.

When it doesn't show

Copy and Cut only appear with selected text, never in passwords. Not every app accepts Undo and Redo.
