Delete forward

While you hold Shift, Backspace deletes what comes after the cursor.

How to use

  1. 1With Shift + Delete deletes forward on (the default, in Settings › Typing), open the keyboard.
  2. 2Put the cursor before what you want to delete.
  3. 3Hold Shift: the Backspace icon flips.
  4. 4Tap Backspace: the letter after the cursor goes away.

What it does

While you hold Shift down with one finger, the Backspace key deletes the character after the cursor instead of the one before. The Backspace icon flips to the right to show it. With Shift just turned on, or with Caps Lock, Backspace works as usual.
