Vietnamese Telex

aa = â, ow = ơ, dd = đ, s f r x j = tones. Type a key twice to undo it.

How to use

  1. 1Open Settings › Languages and turn on Vietnamese.
  2. 2Turn on Vietnamese Telex, right below it.
  3. 3Type vieejt: ee becomes ê and j adds the tone.
  4. 4The keyboard shows việt, with the accent and the tone.

What it does

With Vietnamese on, types the accents and tones with plain letters: aa = â, aw = ă, ee = ê, oo = ô, ow = ơ, uw = ư and dd = đ. Tones come with s, f, r, x and j, even after the whole word. Type a key twice to undo it.

With another Latin-script language on too, Telex only works when Vietnamese is the current language.
